Rhizome DC Youth Art Gallery Open Call

Hello DMV Youth! Rhizome DC is accepting submissions of 2D art from artists 18 and under for a Youth Art Gallery this May. The theme for this open call is “Memory.” Feel free to interpret the theme however you see fit.

Who: Youth 18 and under living in the DMV 

What: An open call is the time for you to share your art - no experience required! 

When: Applications are open now and close March 31st, 2026. Artists will be notified of application status during the week of April 13th, 2026. The show will open May 17th, 2026 and close June 14th, 2026.

The show will be at Rhizome DC, located at 6950 Maple Street NW, Washington, DC 20012 

Why: We want to showcase student artists from across the DMV in a show just for them
