Ava Mirzadegan - Accompanied most often by spacious silence and a finger-picked nylon string guitar, Ava Mirzadegan writes quiet songs about longing, letting go, and befriending night skies. Recorded on the precipice of societal disarray in early March of 2020, Ava Mirzadegan’s most recent album For the Light is a time capsule honoring the life of her mother and the desolate nature of grief. 

SleepygoLucky is the sonic art project of Kian Khalilian (they/them,) an Iranian-American writer living and working in the service industry in the former capital of the confederacy. Having grown up queer and Iranian in post-9/11 southwest Virginia, Khalilian weaves themes of identity and decolonization into a kind sardonic Contemporary Americana, which bridges influences from working artists in the genre such as Villagerrr and Frog with influences from 2nd and 4th Wave Emo acts such as American Football and Algernon Cadwallder.

niki afsar (they/them) is a nonbinary, iranian-american interdisciplinary artist living and working in the washington dc area. drawing influences from personal, familial, and cultural histories steeped in poetry and paradox, they experiment with a number of mediums including devised movement and performance; poetry and text; live singing and sound making; and mirror work.
