Better Red is a minimal post-punk quartet from Takoma Park/Silver Spring that is as mathy as it is melodic. Krautrock rhythms under plaintive vocals, they explore the wonders of animal and plant life during apocalyptic times all while heading to the sock hop. Ron Resetarists on lead guitar, Mike Stark, bass, Michele Bollinger, guitar, and Peter Voskamp on drums (with all sharing vocal duties).

Mia & The Argonauts are a jangly, indie rock quartet from DC, featuring teachers from Jackson-Reed High School.  Singer-songwriter Mia Chu is on vocals and guitar, with James Kelly (Boys Club) on lead guitar, Marc Minsker (M*therfuckers JMB & Co.) on bass, and Tom Murphy (The Patsies) on drums.
