Learn the process of linocut printmaking over the course of a 4-hour workshop, including image transfer, carving, inking, and pressing. Students will carve a 4x6" post card sized block and leave the class with their block and several impressions, as well as an instructional zine about linocut printing. Students will be able to compare soft rubber blocks to pre-carved battleship gray linoleum provided by the instructor, and if time allows will be able to practice using a simple roller type press.
