JA$$IE
Jassie Rios is interested in energy and applying scientific methods in a sound art practice. My work is a process of questioning the relationship between nature, language and technology via interdisciplinary and conceptual drawing strategies. For me, drawing is a response to inner and outer stimuli and the act of drawing is a way of making ideas visible or heard. In this alchemy, drawing is a record to play, sample and mix— this mental activity requires coding and decoding of the natural world and recording it with a stylus— the ‘records’ become a dynamic material archive that is taken out of context then re-played, re-mixed, re-shaped and re-presented anew according to ground. This location is where the intangible becomes tangible, and where light and sound can articulate space, poetic gestures and ephemeral experiences.

THAT CLOUD
The members of DC-based noise/damaged art ensemble THAT CLOUD along with sympathetic co-conspirators present EUREKA! THE PURSUIT OF REPOSSESSION, an ominous reconstruction of “Warehouse” by The Work, 1992. “So many worthless things in the warehouse…Especially in these desperate times.”

KELSEY WILSON (ATL)
Kelsey Wilson is a drummer and composer living and working in Atlanta, Georgia. As a drummer, he performs and records with punks, songwriters, and improvisers. As a composer, Kelsey primarily employs tape loops of both performed musical motifs and intentional field recordings of outside environments both near and far. These materials, with their inherent melodies and abstract rhythms, are processed and manipulated to present protracted works addressing memory, anxiety, struggle, and cycles of permanence and change. Kelsey has recently reissued his work Secular Music on his label Marthasville Fine Audio Recordings, a five-part suite examining the omnipresent influence and hypocrisy of southern religion.

JOE BELKNAP WALL
When he was old enough to get his first tape recorder, Wall started recording and soon was cutting splicing and making strange landscapes out of found sound. He refined his technique over the years, branching out into modular synthesis and modern digital sampling, always working on a balance between telling stories with words and building pictures out of pure sound, with lots of crossover as words were broken down into noises and cut and diced and recontextualized into new forms. https://joebelknapwall.com/
