Glowhazel is the solo project of Arlington-based mountain dulcimer player Thiel Secrist, in an attempt to queer the boundaries between traditional music and experimental soundscapes. Since 2020, they’ve been blending their inspirations of folk, ambient, noise, and drone into an entrancing improvised performance, reminiscent of that one dream you had about getting lost in the woods until dawn.
Cyrus & Oz blurs the lines between left-field electronica, bedroom folk-pop, and experimental noise ambience in a musical style that is mellow, playful, and endearing. The solo project formed in Blacksburg VA in 2014 and includes the common synths and guitars, and the obscure circuit-bent alarm clocks and kalimba thumb pianos. Cyrus & Oz adores and uplifts the communities built around DIY music spaces and strives to decouple music from commodity.
