rootless is musician Jeremy Hurewitz. Over more than a dozen releases on multiple labels and several tours, rootless has established a firm place in American folk, jazz, and new-age music. Combining acoustic guitar and electronics, rootless creates original ambient soundscapes. For a recent rootless release on Feeding Tube Records, what the truth leaves out, Byron Coley noted "When listening to rootless, you often get the sense this is music created solely for the pleasure of the artist himself. The aura of introspection is as deep as the night, so it's possible to almost feel like a voyeur while listening in. The music of rootless manages to communicate and keep its secrets at the same time." On another recent rootless release Jeremy collaborated with long-time compatriot Matt Lajoie, head of Flower Room Records, for ML rootless, an improvised duo session of sidelong takes recorded on the porch of a cabin in Vermont, the site of many rootless recordings.

"Clockwatching is the debut instrumental solo endeavor of Mike Horn, who’s released more cosmic American music as Goldkey and Sunblinders. He leans deeper into the cosmic realm with Seawind of Battery, an ambient, experimental exercise that acts as a sonic balm for those in a state of existential anxiety. Mastered by Sean Conrad of Inner Islands & Channelers, with design by Steve Rosborough of Moon Glyph, this is the first release under the brand-new Island House Recordings." - Lara Bennett, Petal Motel

Tarotplane is P.J. Dorsey from Baltimore MD. He has released a number of albums on labels such as 12th Isle, Patience/Impatience & Constellation Tatsu. Working mostly with the guitar, his work has been described as “new school kosmiche”. It has its feet in the classic style of 70’s pioneers like Achim Reichel & Manuel Gottsching, but looks to put a more contemporary spin on that sound.
