Concert - Aerial Ruin, Marian McLaughlin, Lost Civilizations

Aerial Ruin (Portland, OR) is the primarily acoustic solo project of Erik Moggridge whose current and former bands include Old Grandad, Drift of a Curse and the late eighties/early nineties thrash/death metal band Epidemic. Aerial Ruin channels the darkest of psychedelia in sonic ritual to a place where soaring heights and smoldering depths are one and the same. Though often referred to as folk music and influenced by the likes of Mark Lanegan and Syd Barrett, hints of Moggridges diverse metal past can be heard lurking between the cracks of Aerial Ruins songs.

Marian McLaughlin (Bmore/DC)  is a songwriter, singer and guitarist pushing the boundaries of folk music. Weaving together imaginative lyrics, intricate classical guitar work and a rhapsodic delivery, she creates songs of breathtaking scope and exquisite detail.
