MicroCinema: Walks and Solitude Waves - The Films of Chris Lynn

Join us the first Thursday of each month for Rhizome's MicroCinema. This month, DC filmmaker Chris Lynn will be there in person to screen his films and answer questions.

Join Chris H Lynn for a night of digital moving images and live super 8 films that explore visual and aural spaces in urban and rural landscapes.
Films in the program include:
*Scenes from 10 walks: an audiovisual journey of walks that span over a year. Each walk was shot in a different location and month.
*New films from the Journal of Drifting Hours series: drifting moments, lyrical passages, memory impulses, landscape studies and visual notations captured on super 8 film.

Chris H. Lynn is a moving image maker, sound artist, educator, and curator. His digital images and Super 8 films capture the subtle rhythms of movement, light, and sound in urban and rural landscapes that vary from the eastern shores of Maryland to Nanjing, China. His work has been screened and exhibited in a variety of venues around the globe and has been featured in the book Cinema and the AudioVisual Imagination by Robert Robertson published by I.B Tauris and Bourgeon EBook: Sixty Five Artists Write About Their Work.
