My compositions are sonic rituals that strive to cultivate and affirm all that is good and greater than any one of us – Jason Kao Hwang

Composer, violinist, and violist JASON KAO HWANG has created works spanning the genres jazz, classical, creative improvised, and world music. Hwang’s commissioned works have been performed at the Chicago World Music Festival, and well as Smithsonian’s Freer Gallery in Washington, D.C.

Drummer ANDREW DRURY is a student of ancestor drummer Ed Blackwell, and possesses a drumming style that shows a deep respect for tradition combined with and adventurous spirit towards unique sound production. His extended techniques and percussive voice employ wind, friction, voice, bows, and small metal objects.

Bassist KEN FILIANO has been called a creative virtuoso and master of technique, and is one of the most in-demand bassists in jazz and improvised music circles.
