Concert: Will Csorba, Eli Winter, Issa Sherzad, Kevin Coleman

Wednesday August 8th,    8pm,      $10 suggested donation

Will Csorba has released five records already since last August. The Cornfields saw a triumphant return to his stunning solo guitar compositions. Irrelephant evoked the likes of Pelt with its sprawling harmonium and fiddle drones. On Who's Been Giving You Corn?, he entered into conversation for the first time with flatpicker Cameron Knowler in a collection of fresh takes on oldtime staples. Csorba and Knowler have since gone on to form the Fossil Lickers, variously featuring fiddlers James Trimble and Mark Lewis, guitarist Evan Morgan, and multi-instrumentalist Sage Lyford. The group will bring their ever-expanding repertoire of traditional and original tunes, with maybe a couple solo pieces from Csorba.

Eli Winter is a songwriter and guitarist from Houston TX. Since releasing his first single Take No Notice/Woodlawn Waltz on Impossible Colors last year, he's wowed musicians and audiences alike on all manner of guitars, most recently opening for Ryley Walker . His first full-length record, The Time To Come, will be released on Blue Hole Recordings later this year, featuring rollicking 6-string jaunts, sweeping 12-string epics and a healthy serving of improvisation.

Issa Sherzad (sitar:)  Parametric improvisation within melodic structures of traditional ragas of the Indian subcontinent

Kevin Coleman - Folk guitar fingerpicking in the American primitive tradition.
