Concert: Ancestral Duo, Leprechaun Catering, Rex D/Layne G

 Friday June 1st        8PM        $10    Ancestral Duo   is the special collaboration of multi-instrumentalists  Jamal Moore  and  Luke Stewart . The two channel the spirit of Ancestry through structured improvisation in unique electro-acoustic meditations that aim to reach deep within one's soul and offer a connection to the past, using the power of the present, looking toward the future.     Leprechaun Catering   is the duo of  Tom Boram  and  Jason Willett  from Baltimore, MD.  Their music is a bit like if Pierre Henry was an American 19 year old using a cassette four track - only the 4 track is made out of bamboo and rubber bands - and the all of the source material is a pet robot dog barking at a bull elephant in musth that is also flatulent from eating hundreds of tulips.  Leprechaun Catering have been an important part of experimental music in Baltimore for the past 18 years.  Their influences range from new wave, no wave, free jazz, jazz jazz, le jazz hot, rock, rock and roll, punk rock, noise, noise rock, avant garde, new music, "new music," different genres of music, music from cartoons, kosmische, 70s British gangster movies, 70s British horror movies, Amitabh Bachchan movies, spaghetti westerns, video noise, spicy food, tobacco etc.     Rex Delafkaran   and   Layne Garrett   will collaborate publicly for the first time...............
